There are some good returns to be made on US properties for international mortgage customers.
According to exclusive estate agents Rouge Property, there are a number of areas where investors should be focusing their money at the moment.
Director and founder David Freeman explained that Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt is looking "very good".
"We've dealt with a lot of different countries over the years and Egypt is definitely a place I'd recommend, possibly in Sharm el Sheikh - which is a good tourist destination," he said.
The expert added that the US is "probably another" that Brits should look at.
"Obviously, it's not great over there at the moment and properties can be picked up very, very cheap -you can get a good return on your money," he revealed.
Discussing other prospects, Mr Freeman suggested that an investment in Turkish property could be wise if the country ever gets the euro.
He noted that those who invest in the right places in the European nation could make a real profit if it switches its currency.
