Australian international mortgages popular at present

Britons looking to move to the warmer shores of Australia may find now is a good time to start researching their international mortgage options.

This is because Professor Mark Sharp, chief executive officer at the Association of International Property Professionals, has suggested house prices in the country's urban areas and city centres are no longer rising as quickly as they once were.

The industry figure pointed out low interest rates and decent exchange rates mean relocating down under remains good value for Brits.

Looking into international mortgage options may therefore be something individuals choose to do sooner rather than later in order to take advantage of the current situation.

Professor Sharp explained there are many different regions in the nation proving popular with British expatriates at the moment, adding: "Each offers a unique set of conditions that will attract different people for different reason, however, central business districts will always attract both investment and clients to live in suburbs."

His comments come after editor of A Place in the Sun Magazine Liz Rowlinson recently suggested Perth, Victoria and New South Wales are proving favourable locations for Brits moving overseas.
